Dear Jane and John,
My sister Joannie and I were so glad that we got to attend the mass for Susie on Saturday and that we got a chance to speak with both of you briefly after the serivice.
We have many great memories of Susie and the entire Byrne family starting from the day you moved to #49.
I always admired (and envied) Susie's athletic ability. She was probably the greatest female basketball player that I ever knew.
I also learned some of life's great lessons from Susie. Among them were that I could never compete with her when it came to playing cards and that I would never have as nice a car as she did.
But the thing I remembered most fondly about Susie was her fierce devotion and loyalty to her family and friends.
I'm sure your Dad made sure that no one got too close to Susie's parking space up there.
In the days ahead may you find comfort in your memories. All my best wishes to your mom and your sister Anne.

I am so sorry to hear of Susan's passing. I have many fond memories of her and Anna sitting at the bar of 224, sharing stories and always laughing. After years of knowing Susan, we realized she had known my father from many years ago and I always welcomed the warm words and funny stories she had about him. She was a hard worker and a gentle soul. She will be missed, but there's comfort in knowing she and Anna are once again together.

I only knew Suzie for a short time, as her lawyer, but it was clear that she loved Anna very deeply and that she had the most loyal and wonderful friends in the world. I will miss her, her voice mail messages ( day and night) and her fightin' spirit.

Susan- I can not believe that you are gone. It has not hit me yet. I was just with you at 224 last week for some drinks....we laughed so hard together(You, me, John and Chris)....When I moved to the Polish Triangle of Dorchester, I knew I would be okay because you lived around the corner....now you are gone...I can not believe it....I know that you and Anna are watching over us now but it hurts to know you are gone......until we meet again my friend....I love you so much.....John Lowe
