Grammy, The past few days I have thought about all the amazing memories I have of us on Sanibel Island together. I read "Alexander and the Terrible Horrible No Good Very Bad Day" on the evening I learned about your passing. I heard your voice in my head and felt like we were reading it together like we used to, and without looking at the words, like when I was young, I knew the sentences in the story line for line. I have been taking Sleepy Bear with me in the car and around the house. I was never aloud to take that beloved teddy out with me because mom thought I might loose him and she knew that would break my heart. You gave me that bear on my first Christmas and he has been an important crutch in my life. He had helped me these past few days, when I look at him I see myself as a child going shopping with Grammy at bailey's and walking the pier in hopes of seeing the dolphin's feed, and naming them, Nicky Finn. I remember tasting your cookies, and the smell of your face cream when you tucked me into bed. The stories you would stay up and tell me despite how tired you were and all the love and care you gave me my whole life.
I miss you Grammy, and I love you a bushel and a peck and a hug around the neck.
