Not a day goes by that I dont think of Buddy. He was so much fun and always getting everyone together for cookouts, dinner, drinks ... his passing has left a hole in my heart ... however, the memory of his smile and laugh always brings warmth to my soul.

To the Brabants Family,

I knew "Buddy" very well as a supplier to Steego and a warehouse competitor in Boston. He was a very kind and fair person and one heck of a lot of fun. My condolences for your loss!

Sincerely yours,

Marie, Michael, Lisa and Mathew,
Gayle and I just learned of Bud's passing tonight. Bud was a favorite person who we have so many fond memories of. His charming personality, great smile and love of life are such that we will never forget him.

Bud had a way of always making you feel good about a situation regardless of how difficult and painful it may have been. He was a joy to work with and brought much enthusiasm to anything he undertook. He will be sadly missed by all who had the priviledge of knowing him.

You are in our thoughts and prayers at this difficult time.

Mike and Judy,
Can't even begin to tell you how beautiful Thursday's service was and what it meant to us to be there...
A lovely and fitting tribute to an amazing man...
Buddy gave me a job in 1995 though with some apprehension. I had a steller resume having worked at Toyota dealerships since 1973 in several capacities including Parts Manager, Assistant Manager, etc. and Buddy questioned why I would want to accept a less prestigious position...
He asked me to take a ride with him in the old Buick Roadmaster ("Roadhog") wagon and we talked at great length...
I explained to him how I had recently gone through a painful divorce and was desperately trying to regroup and rebuild my life. He immediately understood, was sensitive to my plight and not only gave me the job but took me under his wing and became a mentor to me...
Working for him and you, Mike were the happiest days of my life and career... It wasn't about money or stature in the industry to me at that point, It was all about someone believing in me and Buddy did...
As a result, I soon remarried (to the most wonderful woman I've ever known... Gale also saw my virtues and believed in me as Buddy did) and I have for the last nine years been working again for Toyota...
My life today is good and I owe that all to Buddy...
I will never forget him, what he did for me and will forever cherish the fond memories of our conversations and moments spent with him...
As I said to you both on Thursday, Please contact me at some point so that we (The "Steego" Alumni) can all reunite and share our memories of those happy days...
I truly believe that it might help all of us deal with our tragic sense of loss and inspire us to carry on...
Bud would have wanted us to do this...
I will look forward to hearing from you...
Peace, Love and Respect,
Tim (and Gale) O'Malley

Dear Marie, Mike, Lisa and Matt:

Tuesdays service and todays service were beautiful. Thank you for arranging such fitting tributes to our 2 angels.

Buddy will always be : "The Cookout Master"; "The greatest competitor"; "The first to say something encouraging and nice when it was most needed"; "The Greatest Husband - The Greatest Father (How many times was he named 'America's Father of the Year" anyways) "The Greatest of Friends"; "The Greatest Mentor"; "A great putter"; "The Most Dangerous Card Player" and certainly "The King of FUN". I will always think of his infectious smile and laugh and will always admire his remarkable "gift" of sharing his love and making us all feel like we were champions in his eyes !

Buddy was simply "The Greatest" and I know you will all miss him dearly. My heart aches with pain as I miss him so much already. I have heard it said that, "People die even though they are so desperately needed by those of us who remain behind." Truer words were never spoken than these when it applies to Buddy.

We have much work to do to honor Buddy's spirit and to celebrate his incredible life. Kate, Razz and I (along with the entire Ellison Family) stand ready to serve you and Buddy in our quest to keep his enthusiasm and love for life alive.

I love you all and will miss Buddy and Eddie very much.

God Bless you,

Gino

My heartfelt sympathies to the entire Brabants family. I will always have great memories of Buddy, as he was one of my favorite Motorcraft customers. Whether is was at WJ Connell, Sterling or Steego. We had great fun at Pacemaker trips, calling on all Steego locations, doing warehouse inventories and my favorite "business lunch" raquetball weekly outings with Buddy, Joe Ogden & Gene Canty. I will always remember Buddy as a man of his word and a person that always spoke lovingly about his wife and his family. My prayers are with you.
