Robert G. Smith

Of Westwood, formerly of Newburyport, died May 15th. Beloved husband of Eileen B. (Hickey) Smith for 61 years. Loving father of Barbara Boe and her husband Eric of Mahwah, NJ. Devoted grandfather of Erik Boe & his wife Laurie of Hawthorne NJ, Tara Oostdyk & her husband John of Hawthorne, NJ & Adam Boe of Mahwah NJ. Proud great grandfather of Colby Oostdyk. Brother of the late Barbara Fairlamb & Kate Collier. Relatives & friends are invited to attend visiting hours in the Holden, Dunn & Lawler Funeral Home, 55 High Rock St. (off Route 109) Westwood on Wed., May 28th from 4-8pm. A Funeral Service will be celebrated in the First Parish of Westwood United Church, 340 Clapboardtree St., Westwood on Thursday afternoon May 29th at 1pm. Interment at Old Westwood Cemetery. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made in Bob's memory to the Friends of the Westwood Council on Aging, 60 Nahatan St., Westwood MA 02090. Bob was a Deputy Treasurer for the Commonwealth of MA. He also served the Town of Westwood on the Board of Selectmen, the Finance Commission, the Town Charter Commission & the Council on Aging.
