So many fine comments about Barry Gamble! Ecclesiastes 1:7 says, "A name is better than good oil, and the day of death than the day of one’s being born." In his youth, Barry was well known at his alma mater, JP High School, but also in the streets. No one in his day was more street-smart than he. The Bible, being "Sharper than any two-edged sword" mellowed him into the sweet, gentle and spiritual man that we all knew him as, and he was proud of it. He often remarked - even joked sometimes - about his rough, tough background, but always gleamed over how he finally came to know Jehovah, with the help of his now deceased dear friend, Bro. Leighton Hullum. He is living proof that people in the most difficult situations are not forgotten by Jehovah, and that He is "not far off" from any of us, if we just seek him. We WILL see Barry again in the New World!

Dear Tina & kids,
It has been a long time since we have seen or spoken to one another, however I have never forgotten our times together I have very happy memories and pictures of us back in the day when you and Barry would come over to study the Watch Tower with (Tony Brookins )and eat lobster, play a game of cards with the friends....it has been years that passed, but you never forget the good friends that cross your path.
I know that Jehovah's love will keep you until we all meet again.

I miss my dear friend and teacher. Our studies were a hootfest. How many folks can say they had belly laughs while discussing the trinity?? His love of God, life and laughter changed my impression of ministers and endeared him to me. His faithfulness and zeal inspired me. I so miss his presence on this earth...the void he left is almost tangible. I look forward to seeing him again soon.

To Tina and family,

Barry is going to be truly missed. We loved him dearly. He was a man that truly loved Jehovah, his family and his friends. He always brought a smile to our faces and wasn't afraid to tell everyone that he had such a good wife. We can't wait to see him again. Soon come.

Our thoughts and prayers are with you, Barry and Kecia. He was a very loving and funny man and will be greatly missed and remembered by many. It is great feeling when you know that you have touched so many hearts. This is such a great loss but because of the hope of a resurrection we can all deal with the loss of Bro. Gamble (uncle) and rely on this hope. Love you all.

I will always remember Barry for his sense of humor and humility. I remember him saying "I am here because of Jehovah's loving kindness"...of course, there were the frequent comments of how 'cute' he was. Which he was, SMILE!!! A great brother and family, who will be sorely missed. Sending you many fond memories, love, hugs and kisses, Sister Andore Lozano.

Barry was my oldest and the only blood brother I had left. He had a great since of humor and made me laughed that will be truly missed. I'm so glad I had a chance to fellowship and have that last laughter before he passed. I will remember that time not the sickness. I Love you Barry!!
