Gary was a dear old friend of mine from Lowell State. In fact, I was his "Big Sister" his freshman year. He was one of the funniest people I ever knew - calling himself Yrag Notserp- is just a quick example. We were friends for many, many years. He came to a club once (a few years after returning from Germany with his new wife) where I was playing piano and singing. The last time I remember seeing him was at a gig he played at Revere Beach. He was a terrific trumpet player. I met his wife then again and liked her a lot. My husband Larry, who also had a great sense of humor, thought Gary was very funny, too. I will cherish the memories and am lucky to have a yearbook with a few pictures of Gary in it. I know Gary's gone on to a better place and will pray for him- my dear, dear friend. I was known to him as "Sam" in college.May God bless him and keep him safe.
