Unlike Eric Clapton.. I am confident that my Dad and I will know each other's names.. when we meet again in Heaven..

This online window is helpful for me in grieving the loss of my Dad.. I was like a 'sponge' in enjoying the attention and love of my Dad.. as a 'middle child'.. I was always craving Dad's attention.. and eventually found that if I would join him at work.. I could see him as a strong, kind, exhuberant, leader and entrepreneur..

After college, my options were corporate America; run operations for Roy Master's new acquisition "John Wayne's Ranch" in Grants Pass, Oregon..
or join our Dad, Leon, and his growing Legal Data Systems, Inc.

The choice was an easy one for me, as I had worked nights n weekends with and for Dad to pay for college at Babson..

On our Dad's birthday, I miss his attitude, cheerful bright eyes and smile and love for me, JoAnn and our two children; Eli and Lindsay..

Dad was brave to the end, and it came too soon for us, but I am faithful that Dad is with his own parents, in Heaven.. and with our dear Mom, Naomi as I write this.. we miss you and love you and thank you for being such a great Dad.. you modeled Love and Support for your children..

You kept so many of your burdens inside you, just as Your own Dad did.. for we knew Grandpa Anthony Padelskas to be shy and quiet and humble.. and kind.

My prayer this day Dad, is that our family will stay strong and loving of each other.. as if you are still here among us.. loving us.

Mr. Padell,
Sir, as a fellow Marine I would just like to say thank you for your service and sacrifice for our Country when you served with the USMC as a member of the 4th Mar. Div. The history and accomplishments made by you and your fellow Marines at Saipan and Iwo Jima are what all of us Marines who followed in your footsteps have always tried to live up to. And to your family and loved ones, I wish to extend my deepest sympathy.

From one early St. John's family to another (and one Patriots' season ticket holder to another- I think it was Leon who gave Pete Jr. and me tickets to freeze together when the Pats played Houston in the playoffs around 1980; I wondered then why people went to the games it was SO cold), Inta and I remember Naomi singing in the choir and Leon being very supportive of the church with his very loving family. Great times with great people. Sincere condolences to all the Padells and their families.
