Howard Elliot Gellis

Age 75, of Tremont Street, Boston, MA, originally from Claremont, NH, on Tuesday, June 17, 2008. He was the son of the late Mark R. Gellis and Dorothy (Baskin) Gellis. Also, stepson of the late Julia Berlin Gellis. He was involved with the family Real Estate business Fairfield Realty and Mark Realty of Boston for 25 years and Director at Guido's Frame Art Gallery on Newbury Street, Boston for 23 years. He was a 1954 graduate of Boston University in the school of Public Relations and Communications. Studied Law at Washington and Lee University in Lexington, VA and Liberal Arts at Washington College in Chestertown, MD. He was a US Army Veteran of the 58th Evacuation Hospital in Germany. He leaves one sister, Barbara Reiner of Monmouth Beach, NJ and a brother, Richard Gellis of Framingham, MA. Also 3 nephews and 3 nieces. The funeral will be held at the Levine Chapels, 470 Harvard Street, BROOKLINE, MA, on Thursday, June 19 at 1:30pm. The burial will be in Lindwood Memorial Park, Randolph, MA. Memorial observance will be private. In lieu of flowers, contributions in his memory may be made to St. Jude Children's Hospital, 501 St. Jude Place, Memphis, TN 38105.
