Dear Toni and Gus,
Having had the honor and the privilege of spending time with Sammy for the past 8 months @ Blueberry Hill, I will always have fond memories of him. No matter what the day was like, your father was always there with a kind word and a warm smile. On behalf of the whole Recreation Department, myself, Collette, Kotomi, Ray, Linda, Carol and Ketty, I offer our deepest condolences to the whole family.

I want to tell you that your Dad Sammy was a wonderful man. He will be missed by all that knew him. Every day he would tell us "Lots of health and happiness for 100 years." I Love You he would say. He loved his family and his country very much. He was a special man.

I was so sorry to hear about Sammy. You know how much he was loved. He was such a "dapper" fellow! I'll miss his singing and shadow boxing especially. God bless you.

Dear Family of Sammy Santillo: My deepest condolences to you on Sammy's passing. I met Sammy at Blueberry Hill Nursing Home while visiting my mother. I loved that man and mourn at his passing. He was absolutely precious and so beautiful. He would always greet my sister and I with a 'sign of the cross' a beautiful smile, and an 'I love you', and upon leaving as well. His gentle soul and sense of humor touched me very deeply. I will never forget him.

Dear Frank,
So sorry to learn of your father's passing. I remember him fondly from our days at Checker Taxi. He always greeted me with a bright smile. He was a very pleasant man. I can still see him parked at the stand at 100 Charles Street and standing next to his cab doing a practice swing as if he had a golf club in his hands. His memory will be a blessing for all of us. He was indeed a fine gentleman.
Sincerely,
Malcolm Alter

So very sorry for your loss. I met Sammy at the nursing home while visiting my mother, Jeannette. We were all immediately drawn to him. Especially my mother. I had the pleasure to dance with Sammy on one occasion. Our family will always have very fond memories of Sammy. It was my pleasure to have known him. Sammy passed on the morning that we celebrated my mother's 90th B-day.
