I was sad to hear of your fathers passing. He was always a great guy and a respected business man. It seems like all the great guys and founding businessmen in waltham are leaving us. I do know that Tim & Shawn are following in his shoes.

My grandfather was a great guy and I am going to miss him very much. I will never forget him falling asleep in his chair, taking us to the lexington battle re-enactment, and making omelets in the morning down the cape. He always seemed so happy and content with his life and I will never forget all the things he did for us. We will all miss him a lot.

Edward was not just my grandfather he was also my friend. I remember one time down the cape I scratched up my father's car and didn't know what to do. My grandfather taught me how to fix the scratches (and the dent). My father never knew until a few days ago, when my family and I were talking about how great of a man my grandfather was. He will be missed.

Elaine and family, We are so very sorry to know about Ed's passing away. Kind man, great and helpful neighbor, always had a wonderful attitude towards life and always, always had a cheerful sweet smile. We will miss him dearly. Our condolences to whole family.

I am one of the 13 siblings of Leo's brother Dan. As a family, the Murphy clan has always had a great love and respect of our wonderful uncle. Shortly after I married, my husband and I purchase his parents little home in Quincy. We loved it there and kept that house in the family a little longer.
I think I was about 10 years old when I found out his real name was Edward and that we shared the same birthday...February 9th. I always felt a warm connection with Uncle Leo and his mother 'Granny', who also shared a February 9th birthday. God Bless you my birthday twin. Heaven will welcome your smile.

I am saddened by the loss of Uncle Leo Uncle. He was a dear Godfather to me. Kind, generous and warm and he looked so much like my dad, it was amazing. He was a great example of what a man should become. A caring and loving husband, father, relative, loyal friend and businessman. He will be a void in our lives and be dearly missed.

I dreamed about Uncle Leo on the night he died. Just a simple dream about visiting him in Wellfleet. I didn't think about the dream until my brother Marty called the next day and told me he passed away. I can't remember ever dreaming about Uncle Leo before. I guess he was just saying goodbye. We will all miss this wonderful man.

I will always remember the haircuts (regular boy's) that Uncle Leo would give us when we were young, up in the highchair with a frown on my face. I always loved my father's brother, the way he treated us, every one of us, with that sweet demeanor and soft-spoken authority. He was a role model, a true gentleman and we'll miss him.

Dear Aunt Elaine and Family,
Heavy hearts are felt today by all the Murphys. We loved visiting Uncle Leo at the beach house while we were on vacation at Nickerson State Park on the Cape. My fourth generation February 9th Murphy (Mary) was saddened to hear because she never met her grandpa and always loved to see Uncle Leo, as we all did. He was our connection to Dad. Well I guess Dan and Leo are having a Hi-ball now. Love to you all, Jane & Kevin

I am so sorry that the time has come for Mr. Murphy to leave this world in which he loved so very much and fought so very hard to stay a part of forever. But the only think that is forever are the heartfelt memories that now must somehow be enough to keep us strong at this time. I will always cherish the many memories I am proud to have shared with him in so many of life’s most honored traditions. He was a true gentlemen, and I will miss his always smiling face, his soft spoken words and ever so gentle demeanor. May the love and joy he gave to so many stay with us throughout our memories. My deepest condolences to you all.

I was very saddened to read of Ed’s passing. I began working for him shortly after Taylor and Murphy started in business and can tell you he was truly a remarkable boss with his work ethics and fairness to his employees. I will miss him. My condolences to all of his family.
