Of Melrose, June 25, 2008. Beloved husband of Joanne J. (Cincotta) Ashley with whom he shared 34 years of marriage. Loving father of Nicole, Susan, Elizabeth and James all of Melrose. Devoted brother of Kenneth R. Ashley, Jr. of Lowell, Margaret "Marty" DuBois and her husband Peter of Reading and the late Francis J. Ashley. Cherished uncle of many nieces and nephews. Funeral from the Robinson Funeral Home, 809 Main St., MELROSE, Monday, June 30 at 9 AM. Funeral Mass in St. Mary's Church, Herbert St., Melrose at 10 AM. Relatives and friends are respectfully invited to attend. Visiting hours Sunday 2-6 PM. Gifts in Rich's memory may be made to the American Cancer Society, 30 Speen St., Framingham, MA 01701. ashley family,
i had the hreat opportunity to meet mr.ashley and instantly realized what a great one of a kind person and father he was. my deepest condolences go to jimmy and the whole family.i wish you all the best!

Joanne and family -

Richard will be sincerely missed by all of the John Cincotta family. He was always the first to come and shake hands and say "welcome" at all of the Cincotta family reuinions.
His smile was always present and a nicer guy we couldn't have asked to know.
