Peter Bucuvalas

Of Needham, formerly of Newton, June 27, 2008. He attended Lowell and Somerville High Schools. He attended Harvard College and majored in math. He joined a family law and accounting firm as an accountant. He served as the First Finance chairman of the Newton Central Little League. For many years, he managed the Cabot Tigers, a team in the Newton Twilight Baseball League. He was a former Mason. He was an avid sports fan, a student of world history, and a lover of animals. He was proud of his Greek heritage. He will be remembered for his generosity and positive attitude. Husband of the late Georgia (Mouroutsos) Bucuvalas. Devoted Father of Virginia Coury & her husband Thomas, Christine Bucuvalas and the late Dr. Michael Peter Bucuvalas. Brother of Mary Worcester and Pauline McNamara and the late Connie Horton, Catherine Bucuvalas, Charles, John Arthur, Paul & George Bucuvalas. Grandfather of Michelle Harris and her husband Todd and Christopher Coury. Great Grandfather of Tyler and Madeleine Harris and many nieces, nephews, relatives, friends and his beloved pets, Rusty and Chessie. Funeral Services on Monday, June 30, 2008 at the Greek Orthodox Church Taxiarchae, 25 Bigelow Ave, Watertown at 11 AM. Visitation one hour prior to services from 10 to 11 AM in the church.
