Joseph Coyne Obituary

Age 82, died on Friday, June 27, 2008, at South Shore Hospital, after a long and brave fight with heart disease. Born & raised in Dorchester, Joe had lived in Weymouth for many years. Mr. Coyne was employed by Boston Edison Co. for 35 years. After retiring he worked for the State of Mass. for several years, Mr. Coyne was a World War II Navy Veteran and a member of the Sacred Heart Church Holy Name Society. Beloved husband of 52 years to Marie Patricia (Morrell) Coyne. Devoted father of Linda A. Coyne of Arlington, MA and Karen M. Butler & her husband Daniel of Reston, VA. Loving brother of John Coyne & Leo Coyne, both of Milton, Paul Coyne of Bonita Springs, FL & the late Margaret O'Brien. Brother-in-law to Blanche Coyne, Barbara Coyne, James O'Brien, and Eleanor Patnode. Joe was son of the late Agnes & Anthony Coyne. Also survived by many nieces & nephews. Funeral from the Clancy-Lucid Funeral Home, 100 Washington St., WEYMOUTH on Tuesday, July 1 at 10:30 AM. Funeral Mass in Immaculate Conception Church, East Weymouth at 11:30 AM. Relatives & friends are respectfully invited. Visiting hours on Monday from 2-4 & 7-9 PM. Burial in Mass. National Cemetary, Bourne. If desired donations may be made in his memory to South Shore Visiting Nurse Assoc., PO Box 859060, Braintree MA 02185.
