Nancy Preble Blum

59, passed away with her family by her side on Tuesday, July 15, 2008, following a lengthy illness. Nancy was born in Newton, MA, the daughter of the late Harvey and Lorraine Preble. She moved to Durham, NC with her late husband, Richard Daniel Lindstrom in 1979. In Durham, Nancy and Richard owned and operated a local fire safety business for over 25 years. Nancy was a beloved wife, mother, sister, grand-mother and friend. She is survived by her brothers, Richard Preble of Shrewsbury, MA and Douglas Preble of Boston, MA; her daughter, Cheryl Blum of Goldsboro, NC; her son, Kurt Preble and wife, Mary Lloyd of Durham, NC and five grandchildren; Elizabeth, Benjamin, Hayley, Jack and Allison. Nancy was devoted to, supportive of, and beloved by her family who will miss her caring wisdom and constant love. A private family ceremony will be held in New England at a later date.
