Of Lexington, 78, suddenly, July 23, 2008. Wife of Russell B. Mason for 47 years. Mother of Atty. Thomas R. Mason and wife Anne of Lakeville. Grandmother of Laura E. and Julie A. Mason of Lakeville. Predeceased by son Richard H. Mason. Daughter of late Daniel M. and Hazel B. Daley of Medford. Sister of Paul V. Daley, Yarmouth, ME, and H. Kathryn Ecker, Punta Gorda, FL, and late William J., Daniel M. Jr. and Richard M. Daley. Attended Medford schools; graduate of Thayer Academy, 1947, Boston University B.S. in J., 1951, Ed. M., 1956. Dept. of Defense fellowship Tufts Univ. for graduate French studies. Long-time foreign languages and Reading specialist and classroom teacher at all grade levels in Medford., Arlington, and Melrose. Also U. S. Air Force Dependent School in France. Prior to teaching career was administrative asst. to well-known Boston radio personality Marjorie Mills and publications editor at N.E. Electric System. Funeral from the Douglass Funeral Home, 51 Worthen Rd., LEXINGTON, Monday, July 28 at 9am, followed by a Mass of Christian burial at St. Brigid Church, Lexington at 10am. Relatives and friends are kindly invited to attend. Visiting hours Sunday 6 - 8 PM. In lieu of flowers, donations can be made in Sally's name to Boston University Development Office, 595 Commonwealth Ave. Boston, MA 02215.
