As your neice next door to the triple decker on Perry Street in Cambridge, MA, I always called you Uncle Lemon Head. I don't know the reason why, but it was probably because of your witty, dry sense of humor and how you liked to tease and love us. Those are the years I remember most, the hot days of summer when my Mom filled up the big metal basin in the front yard, and we all took turns cooling off with Susan, Jeff, and whoever else happened to be around. As life would have it, we all grew up and went hither and yon. I remember my bus visit to you and Aunt Caryle in Ohio, and how wel comed I felt visiting you. Now, you are again in our Creator's tender care and can watch over us as a heavenly angel. Love you and miss you, Uncle Lemon Head. Your neice, Maryelizabeth Bartel

To my favorite Uncle. I wish you a safe journey home to your mother and father, your sisters and your son. My heart is broken but, your spirit lives on among all of us. Thank you for all the wonderful years you graced us with your presence.
