Syvia's spirits were usually vibrant, even in the toughest of times...it was hard to believe, given all she went through, that she still had humor, graciousness, and affection--though in so much pain so much of the time.

Sylvia was very much her own person. Her warmth and sense of humor carried her through difficult times and endeared her to those around her. She was full of ideas and she never stopped dreaming. In her lifetime, she was grateful to see many of her dreams come true.
