Helen Smolak

Age 84, died August 4, at her home in North Andover. She was the wife of the late Henry M. Smolak. She is survived by her daughter Carol and her husband Michael Leary, her son H. Michael Jr. and friend William Concannon, son Stephen and his wife Sherie, son John and his wife Mary, all of North Andover. She was also the mother of the late Eileen Mauck, the wife of Robert Mauck. Through her generosity and foresight, Smolak Farms was preserved in 1983 for many generations to come by the states Agricultural Preservation Act. Her Funeral Mass will be celebrated at St. Michaels Church, North Andover, on August 7th at 10:00 a.m. Burial will follow in Ridgewood Cemetery.
