John MacDonald Obituary

Of Dedham, August 3, age 76, died peacefully at home. Beloved husband for 51 years to Regina (Eremita) MacDonald. Loving father of Michele Heffernan and husband John of Dedham, John F. MacDonald Jr. and his wife Mary of Foxboro, James MacDonald and his wife Ann of Foxboro, Mark MacDonald and his wife Patricia of Canton, Mayanne Briggs and her husband Jonathan of Dedham, Monica Linari and her husband Scott of Dedham. Proud grandfather of 15 grandchildren. Brother of Mary Stuart of Crescent City, CA, Carol Peschel of Englewood, FL, and the late Ralph MacDonald Jr. Also survived by many loving nieces, nephews, in-laws, cousins and countless friends. A life long resident of Dedham, he served his community in numerous ways as little league coach, town meeting member, volunteer for St. Vincent de Paul Society, Toys for Tots, member of the Dedham K. of C., and Dedham Retirement Mens Club. Funeral from the Kraw-Kornack Funeral Home, 1248 Washington St., NORWOOD, Thursday at 10 a.m. Funeral Mass at St. Mary's Church, Dedham at 11 a.m. Relatives and friends invited. Visiting hours Wednesday 4-8 p.m. In lieu of flowers donations in Jack's memory to St. Mary's Church or St. Vincent de Paul Society both of Dedham, MA or Partners Hospice, 281 Winter St., Suite 200, Waltham, MA 02451.
