Bob was in all senses a Marine, even in his working life @ Sylvania where I worked along side him. He was tough, straight laced and a damn good Designer.

Please accept our deepest regrets and condolences on the passing of former Marine Robert N. Lavesseur.
There is a poem written by a Marine in the Korean War.
It goes like this,
Do not stand by my grave and weep
I am not there; I do not sleep.
When you awaken in the morning's hush,
I am the swift uplifting rush of quiet birds circling in flight.
Do not stand by my grave and cry ...
I am not there. I did not die.
I am a Marine now and always
protecting and serving our
Supreme Father into infinity.
Death leaves a heartache no one can heal, love leaves a memory no one can steal.
