To all that loved Janet, I didn't know how brave she was until 6 moths prior to her death. Aliza and Mimi have her strength, it's something she wanted to pass on. My parents have survived the loss, I was also not aware of their strength as well. Growing up Janet was our captain, laura and I looked up to her. She was the one who challenged Milton, selfishly I was the youngest and spoiled by 3 women, I couldn't do anything wrong! I miss Janet's laugh and leadership. Losing Janet only opened my eye's up, that everyone will have a bad day, it's how you move forward that defies our destiny. I've come to the realization that I will miss Janet forever, however some day we hold each other again, and that moment will be one of my best days.

dear alizza and mimi. just wanted you to know that i think of your mom often. she was a great inspiration to me in her wisdom and her sense of humor by putting things into prospective when life got tough during the many years we knew each other. whenever we met, she shared stories about each one of you and i know that she loved you more than anything in her life. you can be so proud that you had such a very special mom. i miss her and feel very grateful to have known her. i wish you both courage and strength.

Dear Viv, Milt, Laura, and Rob-
I was stunned today to see that your wonderful Janet is gone. I was hoping just to touch base with you all to say hi and tell you I have never forgotten the friendship and fun we had together. I know I cannot imagine how you must miss her. I cherish my memories of Janet and the relatively brief time we knew each other, and what a great family you were, how you all cared for each other, and the bond you had.I remember that beautiful, smiling Janet. It seems like just yesterday that you invited me to your home for dinner when I had just begun teaching at Brockton High. That was 36 years ago; I just retired.I can see you all sitting at that table, and I remember Laura's impish laugh, and how you were all concerned about how Robbie was doing in school. There was a lot of love at that table and you shared it with me. I am so so very sorry and I grieve with you. My love and condolences to all of you- Your friend, Marvin Gans

I was deeply saddened to hear about Janet's passing. I knew Janet throught the Weymouth Club. I was one of her mermaids from water arobics. Janet was one of the most upbeat positive people I have ever had the pleasure of knowing. At the end of every class Janet would tell us to give ourselves a hug because we are perfect just the way we are.May Janet's love for her loved ones and the happy memories you share bring you peace. Janet is so very missed. She was the bravest and strongest woman I know. She always had words of wisdom for me and always helped me find the right path for my journeys in life. She was my moms sister and my aunt, maybe not by blood but no one could have been closer. She will always live on in my memories and in my heart, i will miss her greatly.

Sadly missed will be our Janet. I, too, knew our friend from her classes at the Weymouth Club. I will always remember her laughing in the pool and swapping stories in the hot tub (which we called "dessert"). She will very truly be missed by her mermaids.

Janet will be truely missed. I knew Janet from the Weymouth Club. She always had a positive view of life and closed every class she taught with, "You are perfect just the way you are" and a reminder to all, that we are God's creations, and God does not make mistakes. My deepest condolences for your loss.

I was so sad to hear of Janet's passing. I knew her from the Weymouth Club where I took her water aerobics classes, which were great fun. She was always upbeat and a blast to work out with and just to know. My sincere condolences to her family.

Dear Vivian & Milton, Laura & Ronnie, Robbie and Family, Aliza & Mimi, and Amanda & Jaime: Our hearts are full of love for all of you and profound sadness at the news of Janet's passing: a precious daughter, loving mother and devoted sister and aunt, and a loyal friend to many. Janet's inner strength and fierce passion for her life inspired us all; she was truly one of the most courageous people we have ever known. May your beautiful memories be a source of strength and comfort to you now and always, knowing that each of you gave the full measure of yourselves to Janet each and every day not only throughout her illness but throughout her life, and she gave hers in full measure to each of you. While we grieve with you, we also celebrate Janet's life: a life lived with love and devotion for her family; a life lived with with great spirit, humor and purpose. She will have a special place in our hearts forever. May her memory be for a blessing. With love and profound sympathy, Chuck, Joni, Jeff & Scott

Dear Mimi and Alyzza:
Your mom was an amazing woman who I will always respect and admire for her strength and determination in living with her illness. Her spirituality was an inspiration to me and I will always think of her and the positive influence that she has had on my life. She has instilled wonderful values to you both and you are a living tribute to your mother. I hope that the memories you have will be a comfort to you during this time. My thoughts are with you.
Janet's memory will live on in the hearts of all that knew her.

Janet was a great woman who always looked for the positive in everything even when life threw multiple blows at her. She once said to me, once you are my friend, you are my friend for life - truer words were never said. I will miss her greatly.
