Of South Boston formerly of Hull, August 12, 2008. Beloved wife of the late John P. Meade, BPD Deputy Superintendant. Daughter of the late Harold and Agnes (Mulcahy) Hayes. Devoted mother of John McCarthy of Winchendon, Kevin McCarthy of South Boston, Susan Flaherty of South Boston, Paul McCarthy of Brockton and Joanne McCarthy of South Boston. Dear sister of Thomas Hayes of Medfield, Marion McClinon of Boston, Paul Hayes of Milton and the late Buddy Hayes and Helen Frawley. Also survived by 5 grandchildren. Funeral from The O'Brien Funeral Home, 146 Dorchester St., SOUTH BOSTON Saturday at 10 AM. Funeral Mass in the St. Augustine's Cemetery Chapel at 11 AM. Relatives and friends invited.
