Just came from another wake. A good friend's mother, 90 years young. Thinking of you Mom and how they don't make 'em like you or her anymore. The world is a colder place without you. Still miss you lots...... Love,

Your Mom sounds alot like my Mom thats why they are at Knollwood to watch over us, Its the thing that Moms do that keeps the Family together and the love that make Family stonger. It's not the nail and wood makes a home it's what moms do to keep it a happy home and God bless

Mom, I can't really get the words or thought together that would even touch on our relationship. You always called me your 'Right Arm' as a little kid. I had no idea what that really meant until later when I became more aware of the shear determination and willpower it took each and every day for you to face your world while bringing up 13 children.

I did what I did, because I loved you so much. You and Dad gave the very best you had to offer in building character and Christian morals into the lives of the small people in front of you each day.

The first of your young family began in the early 1950's and the last of the magnificent tribe ended in the early 1970's. That's at least two generations of change and bold faced reality checks.

You never waivered..your love and values were the same for all. Nothing came easy. Your life was hard work but you made it all look so natural.

Thank you for teaching me how to be a mom, to cook, to laugh, to hug often and especially to say good-bye the Devlin way. That means really never leaving, just waving and kissing til you're almost out the door.

Love forever...Susan

I am blessed to have known such an amazing woman, and honored to call her my grandmother. It's not going to be the same without you here but I feel safe knowing that I have you as one of my guardian angels. What I wouldn't give for you to hold my hand, shake it like you always did, and say "caittiee" before the soft kiss on the cheek and huge bear hug. The memories are endless just like your love and I will cherish them forever. I love you Gma and I will miss you so much.<33

I'll miss you always and forever

Saying goodbye is chaos. Everything seems so rushed and there's hardly any time to clearly process the reality of it all. Now that everything has quieted a bit, I find myself having a difficult time grasping the idea that you are no longer here - you, who were nearly immortal in my eyes, are no longer here. Of course Grandma is around. She's down in Plymouth. If I can't make it down this weekend, I'll see her at the next family gathering. Of course my Grandma is here. Perhaps I took your presence for granted.

I can't claim to understand death or what happens after it. I don't know what Heaven is like. I don't even have my understanding of God figured out. I can, however, say this with confidence - sometimes people come into your life and offer you a glimpse of what it is, or what it SHOULD be. This, Grandma, is the gift you have given me. It's the gift you've given to so many, whether they realize it yet or not. It's something I will carry with me forever. If there is an ultimate Good, if there is a Heaven, if God's work can be seen in this life, I saw it in you. And I am convinced that no force as strong as yours could ever, ever die. All of us can only strive to live, laugh, and love as genuinely as you did here in this life.

I love you Grandma. I'll see you in every good thing that comes my way. I know we'll meet again.

Mom, the house feels empty without you. I still hear your laughter in every room. We know you're not in pain anymore and you don't know what "All the fuss is about" but you were THE BEST MOTHER, GRANDMOTHER and FRIEND to anyone whoever had the pleasure of being loved by you. We miss you!

To All of the Murphy Family,
My heartfelt sympathy. Aunt Mary was a dynamic woman in my young life. I will remember the warm and loving house on Brookley Road that was my second home. I will remember the whistle call to dinner. I will remember the abundant, crowded, noisy dinner table with Aunt Mary at the center. I will remember the bear hugs and the gentle words of wisdom. She lives on in all of you and me too. I will miss her but i will remember always. Love, Margaret
