I JUST WANTED TO THANK EVERY ONE WHO SUBMITTED TO MY FATHERS GUESTBOOK. YOUR KIND WORDS ABOUT OUR FATHER AND HUSBAND MEAN MORE THAN YOU KNOW. THESE PAST TWO MONTHS HAVE BEEN SO HARD FOR MY MOM AND MY SISTERS BUT HAVING A GREAT FAMILY AND FRIENDS HAVE MADE IT A LITTLE EASIER. IN THE BLINK OF AN EYE WE LOST OUR ROCK, OUR BEST FRIEND, THE BEST DAD AND PAPA IN THE WORLD. DAD THERE ISN'T A MOMENT IN THE DAY THAT I DON'T THINK ABOUT YOU. I MISS YOU AND LOVE YOU SO MUCH. DAD, YOU GAVE ME THE BEST 35 YEARS OF MY LIFE AND FOR THAT I WILL BE FOREVER GREATFUL.

While serving 38 years as a member of the Boston Fire Department I worked along side some of the greatest guys one could ever imagine. It is those guys and the many before them that has made the Boston Fire Department the best there is. Dennis Flynn is at the top of that list. Quiet and unassuming, but watch out when he had that twinkle in his eye. He was proud of the BFD, he was proud of his service to his country, he was proud to be from "Southie" but most of all he was proud of his family. He made us proud to be called his friend. God bless the Flynn family, may all of the wonderful memories of this great guy help you to cope with his loss.
The "all out" is in Dennis but you will always be remembered.

Dear Rosemary and the Entire Flynn Family: I can only imagine the shock and pain that you are experiencing now with the loss of your beloved Dennis.
My fondest memories of Dennis were of the early years we spent at "Eastover" with the entire "gang." Dennis had a love of life, especially for his wife and daughters, in which he was so proud. Dennis' sense of humor and his kindness to his family, friends and strangers, alike, will long-be remembered.
Dennis and Rosemary did what God intended--they raised four wonderful and caring daughters, and he was in the process of setting good life values for his grandchildren. May God bless Dennis and the entire Flynn family.
Love to all,
Mary Kelley

I was so saddened to hear the news of the passing of my work buddy Dennis. At the Fire he took care of facilities and trucks for all these years. He was also my hero at SBHS..as the QB of the varsity..and i told him so.. the BCH game that Southie won in 66..when they said we didn't belong on the same field as them.. i was proud to have known him and share the time with him Gerry Horgan and Joe Nee.

Dennis Flynn was one of those rare people you meet once in a lifetime. He was my "boss" at the Murphy Rink in South Boston in 1972, not long after return from his tour of duty in Vietnam. Quiet and kind, I got to know him and his best friend and wife, Rosemary and four wonderful girls, later on. Dennis was continuously in "service" to anyone and everyone in his company. He could never do enough for people, whether socially or in his work. If every public "servant," "served" as proudly, like Dennis Flynn, this world would be trouble-free. It was a true privilege to know him or be his friend.
May God keep Dennis in the palm of his hand...Dennis was God's servant on this earth.
