Nana
Today is your 1 year Anniversary!
How fast one year has gone by and how much that has happened since then!
You taught me to be strong and to be me, no matter what and that is what I continue to do everyday!
Since you left us, Mom came to be with you, Bianca graduated from Middle School and will start hs in a month. Another recital has come and gone(which you loved so much) Ariana made the Softball All Star Team and Gianna continues her amazing brightness with high honors and is off to St. Mary's with Bianca. She will do amazing things!
Dino and I continue to be a strong base for our children! I know that makes you and grandpa proud!

Sadly, your grandson is not well, he needs all the strength, prayers, thoughts and love that you can send....he may not have much time, but we don't know right now.

Finally I leave you with two thoughts one from my "mom" calendar the day you passed: There is oly one happiness in life, to love and be loved.
2nd, funny comes from the emblem of the little league baseball league,
COURAGE, CHARACTER AND LOYALTY....three things that I learned from you, three things I live everyday by and three things that every person should have!

Miss You - Love You - Always in my heart! MASS FOR YOU Aug 31

Yesterday was 5 months............
It is weird, sometimes I feel like you have been gone as long as Grandpa(22 years this June)and other times, I almost find myself driving to the Nursing Home to visit you!

There is never a minute that you are not in my thoughts. So many things remind me of you. My mind is full with wonderful memories, but my heart aches with sadness that never goes a way...

What is a grandmother....
"Grandmother - a wonderful mother with lots of practice."

"What children need most are the essentials that grandparents provide in abudance. They give unconditional love, kindness, patience, humor, comfort and lessons in life. -Rudolph Guiliani

Miss you - Love you

Happy New Year's Eve! Nana

I still can't believe that you amd Mom are both gone!
It just seems like everything happened so fast!
It was a snowball effect after you died! I guess Mom was better off being with you then staying here and not being herself!

Tell Grandpa the Bruins are on fire!
I will never forget all the games we went to and sat in Lodge 17. Remeber the two brothers that sat behind us...
Remember all the signs I made for the Players birthdays....
Remember Mom's cow bells!

That was the best! We had so much fun! That's all I can think of everytime I hear Bruins talk. We would meet Grandpa at the Box Office, then he would get out of work and we would watch the games.
I am glad I have these wonderful memories.
Love you
Brenda

HAPPY BIRTHDAY NANA!

"A Mother's love is indeed the golden link that binds youth to age: and he is still but a child, however time may have furrowed his cheek, or silvered his brow, who can yet recall, with a softened heart, the fond devotion or the gentle chidings of the best friend God ever gives us."

December 4, 2008

(Mother's Day Calendar-quote of the day)

"The tie that links mother and child is of such pure and immaculate strength as to be never violated."

A MOTHER IS SOMEONE WHO LOVES AND SUPPORTS YOU AS YOU PURSUE YOUR DREAMS!

November 24, 2008

Nothing is going to stop it now.....not even you! I pray it will be over soon!

November 18, 2008

Today is bitter sweet..........

It is 3 months since you left us.....

And it is Gianna's 12th Birthday....

You loved them so much........
And they loved you too!............

You would be so proud of them, they are doing great in school, sports/dance! We remember how you would never miss their recitals!!!
Or mine when I was little!

I have been going thru pictures...what great times I had as a kid with you/Grandpa...and Mom/Dad....we did everything and went everywhere!

We pray for you always, and we need you, Grandpa/Dad to continue to pray for Ma! Don't let her suffer. I know the only thing that remains is that her heart aches because you are gone!

"Sometimes it is right to share our wisdom and lead those we love to correct answers. Other times it is far wiser to stand quietly in the shadows, allowing someone dear to stumble upon her own answers."

I continue to learn everyday. As I have said, death is funny, you see things in such a different way, when it hits close to home. You get to a point where you say, who cares what people say or think! You know what is right and what is the truth! You need to live in reality, which I do everyday when I look at my mother. Some people think living in a fantasy world, is the place to be! It doesn't exist.

Always in our hearts...
Always in our thoughts...
Always in our prayers.....

Continue to watch over us!

Love you!

All women alike

November 6, 2008

No joy in nature is so sublimely afecting as the joy of a mother at the fortune of her child.
-by Jean Paul Richter

It's a rainy, gloomy day today. The kind of day you just want to stay in bed. I saw mom this morning, she was in bed still sleeping. She is sleeping more now. She just seems more exhausted, the disease is really taking a toll on her now! I don't know how much longer she has with us! No one knows. (6 weeks, 6 months, 6 years) Things just seem to be moving really fast, I just don't know what will go next.

If you need her,(I know she needs you) take her quickly, it is getting more difficult to see her this way.

Pray for her, and pray for us.

Always in my thoughts
Always in my heart
Always in my prayers.
Love you

A Mother's smile is like a rainbow----
it brightens up a rainy day.

October 24, 2008

I looked at my calendar today....
to see what was on this day for a quote....
"
Youth fades; love droops; the leaves of friendship fall:
A mother's secret love outlives them all.---
Oliver Wendell Holmes, "The Mother's Secret"

I thought.... extremely appropriate!

I know that mom can still feel your love for her!
Even if she feels nothing else!

Always in my thoughts...
Always in my heart....
Love you..............

(P.S. tell Grandpa they blew it)

October 18, 2008

Hi Nana
It's already two months!
There isn't a day that goes by that I don't think of you. And everyday when I see Ma, it reminds me more!
She is starting to look a lot like you.
She is not well and continues to fail a little everyday.
Watch over her !!!
Watch over us!
(Calendars have not been changed!-maybe its my daily reminder of you)

p.s. Tell Grandpa to send some prayers Red Sox are down 3-2 and need to win tonight/tomorrow to go to the World Series!---Again!---he woud be loving this right now!

September 18, 2008

It is a month today since you left. (The calendars on my desk have not changed....I can't bring myslef to) I will never forget your last 4 days.....I am so glad that I was there! It makes it ok!

The girls speak of you often and still can't believe that you are not here anymore. I tell them that you are always in the hearts. They always talk about how they would watch bowling with you at Nana's house. Not to mention your false teeth.

The hardest thing in life to do is to keep strong and continue on. I have learned that you see things in a whole different perspective! I was younger when Grandpa died/my Dad. Didn't understand things and people like I do now. Death is an eye opening experience!

Please continue to watch over my family, especially mom!

I know you must have been so proud last Saturday. Ariana was honored at the Red Sox game with her team, as the New England Regional Softball Champions. She got to go on the field. It was very cool! I know you, Grandpa and Dad must have been watching with big smiles!!!!

I'll be back soon..............
always in my thoughts
always in my heart
Love you

September 16, 2008

I thought by letting you go and be at piece would make me feel better.....it doesn't.....

I have 2 friends(husband/wife) the wife tells me you learn so much about people when someone dies, the husband says that GOD only gives crosses to bear to people who can handle it....Both are the truest of all statements!

I saw the head Nurse on your floor today! Yes I went there again! And he wanted to know how things were going with mom. Please watch over her! And keep the prayers coming. She needs them.........and so do I!!!

September 7, 2008

Wish Grandpa a
HAPPY BIRTHDAY for me!

Funny at the Red Sox game last night(Thanks Benny)it sprinkled just a little bit, almost like tears, maybe it was you! I miss going to the games with Grandpa! I listen on the radio to the games, too, just like he did!!!he had that little black radio!
