Jim: Thank you for the beautiul article in the Travel Journal July 7 to 20 edition, titled Profile of a pilot. It was the first of many to come in numerous newspapers, magazines, tv appearances etc. I never saw in myself what you did until that interview and subsequent feature. You were the first, a real talent scout. What I will miss about you is talking about all the well known personalities that I met and got to know over the years, among them locals like Peter Fuller, Jack Sharkey and Curt Gowdy to mention a few. Many politicians to numerous to mention etc.
I hope you and I will meet again in our sought after eternal life. I have had many friends over a 79 year span, but no one who exceeded the admiration, trust and friendship I felt with you. (Ret) Captain H. E. "Hal" Nord Jr.

The membership of MIANE extend sincere condolences to the family of Jim Calogero. Jim was respected for his dedication to the principles of Military Intelligence by the National CIC Association as well as us at MIANE. His contributions to both groups have sparked their continuing successes. Our brother soldier now lives in our memory and is held safely in our hearts.

To the family of Mr. Calogero , I would like to extend my sincere sympathy for your loss.
It is because of Mr. Calogero that a plaque dedicated to my Grandfather, Eddie Hurley, whom Mr.Calogero knew in his earlier years. now hangs in my living room.
Eddie Hurley was a sports writer for the old Daily Record in Boston, and on his passing, this plaque was hung in Fenway Park, but over the years made it's way to storage. Mr. Colagero made it possible ( Through my wife, who knew Mr. Colagero) for me to acquire it.
I will never forget his kindness to enable this.

My prayers are with you Jim. I, a former co-worker at The AP in Boston, and others at Linden Ponds are sorry. We hoped to get a group of AP "Old Timers" together.
