Leonidas Varvitsiotis Obituary

Of Needham, August 21, 2008. Beloved husband for 47 years of Georgia (Papagelis) Varvitsiotis. Loving father of Elaine Tsouridis and her husband Klevoulos of Needham, Joanna Kalogeropoulos and her husband Chris of Sharon and Nicholas Varvitsiotis and his wife Colleen of East Bridgewater. Brother of John Varvitsiotis of Canada. Cherished Papou of Sotiri, Lydia, Alec, Leo, Shannon and Bobby. Visiting hours will be held at the Eaton Funeral Home, 1351 Highland Ave., NEEDHAM on Sunday, August 24 from 5-8 PM. A Funeral Service will be held at the Annunciation Greek Orthodox Cathedral, 514 Parker St., at Ruggles, Boston on Monday at 2 PM. Relatives and friends are kindly invited to attend. Interment at the Gardens of Gethsemane Cemetery in West Roxbury. In lieu of flowers, donations in Leo's name can be made to the Church in his hometown in Greece, c/o the Varvitsiotis family. Leo came to the US in 1958 and settled in Needham in 1976. He was in the convenience store business in Roslindale and later in the pizza restaurant business with his son.
