Mary Gadbois Obituary

Of Boston, 84, died Tuesday, August 5, 2008 in Boston. Mary is the daughter of the late Theodore J. Rochford and Anna Mildred Rochford (Glover), wife of Robert O. Gadbois of Falmouth, Mass, mother of Millie Gadbois of Cairo, Egypt, and the late John Gadbois. She was also the sister of the late Theodore J. Rochford, Patricia James and Anne Bouchard. Mary grew up on Ninth Street in Providence, Rhode Island, and graduated from Hope High School. For many years throughout her girlhood and adult years, she assisted her father, Theodore J. Rochford, in managing Rochford Hats in Pawtucket, Rhode Island, which was located in downtown Pawtucket, and was at the time of its closing in 1974 the oldest retail store in the city, established in 1893. A memorial service will be held at a later date. In lieu of flowers, please make contributions to Father Flanagans' Boys Town, 300 Flanagan Boulevard, PO Box 7000, Boys Town, NE, 68010. Arrangements were made with Boston Harborside Home of J.S. Waterman & Sons-Waring-Langone, 580 Commercial St., BOSTON, MA.

Hi Millie: I just wanted to let you know how much I loved your mom - she was my favorite aunt! Aunt Mary was always fun and generous to a fault. I have many fond memories of spending time with her, Uncle Bob and you. I hope you are doing well and that you take the time to take care of yourself in this very sad time. Love, Joanne
