Mary Elizabeth Gadbois

Of Boston, 84, died Tuesday, August 5, 2008 in Boston. Mary is the daughter of the late Theodore J. Rochford and Anna Mildred Rochford (Glover), wife of Robert O. Gadbois of Falmouth, Mass, mother of Millie Gadbois of Cairo, Egypt, and the late John Gadbois. She was also the sister of the late Theodore J. Rochford, Patricia James and Anne Bouchard. Mary grew up on Ninth Street in Providence, Rhode Island, and graduated from Hope High School. For many years throughout her girlhood and adult years, she assisted her father, Theodore J. Rochford, in managing Rochford Hats in Pawtucket, Rhode Island, which was located in downtown Pawtucket, and was at the time of its closing in 1974 the oldest retail store in the city, established in 1893.
