Augustine Proctor Obituary

Of Brighton, formerly of Brookline, age 86. August 25, 2008, after a brief illness. Augustine was born in Boston and resided in Brookline for most of his life. Mr. Proctor attended Oxford University in England and was a graduate of Suffolk Law School in Boston. He also received an Associates Degree in Art from Boston University. A Veteran of World War II, Augustine served in the U.S. Army from Feb. 1943 to March of 1946 in Central Europe. Mr. Proctor enjoyed traveling, reading, walking and spending time with his family. Mr. Proctor is survived by his sister-in-law, Florence Protulis of Cohasset and many nieces, nephews, great nieces, great nephews and great-great nieces and great-great nephews. Augustine was the son of the late William J. Protulis and Catherine (Cullinane) Protulis. He was the brother of the late Mary Anson, Irene Mahoney, William Protulis, Christine Sorrentino, and Sister Theodora Protulis. A Graveside Service will be held at Woodside Cemetery, Cohasset on Thursday, August 28 at 12:30 PM. Visiting hours omitted. In lieu of flowers, donations in Augustine's memory may be made to the Home for Little Wanderers, 271 Huntington Ave., Boston, MA 02115.
