Francis Baranowski Obituary

62, of Boston, died unexpectedly, Aug. 23, 2008, at Boston Medical Center. Son of the late Francis and the late Laura (Hodge) Baranowski. Born July 15, 1946 in Lowell, he grew up in the area before residing in Boston for most of his lifetime. `Stan' was closely associated with the Saint Francis House, where he inspired others with his courage, perseverance, and ready smile. Survived by sisters, Sandra Anderson of Tyngsboro, Mary Jo Trenholm of Fitchburg, Paula Calvetti of Nashua, New Hamphsire, and Leona Proffitt of Kentucky, his closest friends William Alan Dokas of Boston, and Robert Branconnier of Boston. He is also survived bymany aunts, uncles, nieces, and nephews and was the brother of the late Rita (Baranowski) Centola. You are invited to his visitation 9:30 until 10:30 Friday morning at the McDonough Funeral Home, 14 Highland Street, LOWELL (978 or 800) 458-6816. Funeral Service will be held at 10:30 at the Funeral Home. Burial in Holy Trinity Cemetery. Memorial donations may be made in his name to Saint Francis House, 39 Boylston St., Boston, MA 02116.
