Sincere condolenseses to the Dyer family. My son and I had just met Mel earlier in August at his gun safety course. We were greatly impressed by his kindness and porfessionalism. My son commented he felt very safe during the class and especially with Mel's presentation.

Officer Dyer,
Sir, as a fellow Marine I would just like to say thank you for your years of dedicated service and sacrifice-first for our Country when you served with the USMC(especially in Vietnam) and secondly for the citizens of Massachusetts when you served as a Law Enforcement Officer. And to your family and loved ones, I wish to extend my deepest sympathy.

Our thoughts and prayers are with Bonnie and all of Mel's family. His manner and integrity was evident, immediately, from our first meeting at the Police Academy (05-02). His dedication, attention to detail and unwavering committment to his family, friends and profession, made it impossible to fault the man. He will be sorely missed by all.
