Theresa Goodwin Obituary

78, a longtime resident of Chelmsford and also of Escondido, CA, died on Thursday, August 28, 2008. She was the beloved wife of Raymond A. Goodwin Sr., who survives her and resides in Chelmsford. She was born on December 17, 1929 in Somerville, a daughter of the late John and Violet (Grady) Courtney. Prior to her retirement she worked as an examiner for the Internal Revenue Service in Andover and for various law firms in CA. She was a communicant of St. Mary's Church, Chelmsford and of St. Timothy's Church in CA where she was a member of the bereavement committee and enjoyed knitting for church fairs. In addition to her loving husband she is survived by 10 children, Raymond A. Goodwin Jr. of Chelmsford, Francis G. Goodwin and his wife Kajsa Norgren of Cliffton Park, NY, John D. Goodwin and his wife Nancy of Brentwood, NH, Ralph T. Goodwin and his wife Randi of Port Orchard, WA, Bruce L. Goodwin and his wife Penny of Spring Lake, NC, Stephen V. Goodwin of Chelmsford, Mary Faucher and her husband George of Escondido, CA, Janis M. Goodwin of Chelmsford, Kenneth J. Goodwin and his wife Patricia of Lowell and Andrew P. Goodwin of Alexandria, VA. She was the grandmother of 17 and the great grandmother of 3. She is also surived by a sister, Anne Beahen of Malden and a brother, Paul Courtney of Riverside, CA. Visiting hours will be held on Monday afternoon from 2 to 5 pm at the Blake Funeral Home, 24 Worthen St., CHELMSFORD. A Funeral Mass will be offered on Tuesday morning at 9 o'clock at St. Mary's Church, Chelmsford.
