DiSTEFANO, Charles Sr. Of East Boston, suddenly, on September 1. Beloved husband of over 53 years to Dorothy (Sarno). Devoted father of Charles DiStefano Jr. and his wife Carol of East Boston. Cherished grandfather of Nicholas, Bianca, Joseph and Ariana DiStefano. Dear brother of Vicenza Scarpelli and the late Jennie Ferraro and Yolanda Avellino. Also survived by many loving nieces and nephews. Funeral from the Ruggiero-Mazzarella Memorial Home, 971 Saratoga St. (Orient Heights), EAST BOSTON on Friday, September 5 at 9 a.m., followed by his Funeral Mass in St. Francis de Sales Church, 313 Bunker Hill St., Charlestown at 10. Relatives and friends are respectfully invited. Visiting hours Thursday 4-8. Late Army veteran, Korean Conflict. Retired Chief Inspector Weights and Measures for the City of Boston. Past member Wyoming Masonic Lodge, Malden. Funeral home is handicapped accessible. Children's lounge available. Courtesy valet parking front entrance of funeral home.
