I am very deeply saddened by Mark's passing. I remember him so vividly as a creative and talented, young graduate of the Rhode Island School of Design who was exhibiting his quirky and eye-catching "Ice-Cream Chairs" at the Door Store at Park Avenue South in New York City.
I remember, too, walking with Mark and my sister Purnima (Punty) and other friends from RISD near the Flat Iron Building on 23rd Street, where Mark said his parents had an apartment. All of us had great faith in Mark's talents, and the success we all knew he would achieve.
What I never knew is that one day I would be signing this book and writing this note. ..and the moving finger writes, and we remember people for all the good that they had in them. I convey my sincere condolences to Sarah and all the other members of his family.
