Dear Scalis,

My gravest condolences at this time of loss. As I said to Joey today, words are easy so I'll spare you mine; no one will know or understand the pain you now endure.

I remember John fondly. He always seemed like the impossibly cool older brother; the toughest kid in the school...well, one of them, at least. He was also very funny. I remember his hilarious sense of humor...In this respect, I think Joey and John are very similar.

Please know that I'm praying for you all and hope that time will eventually lessen the burden of pain...

I wish I could be there to hug you all.

With love and prayers from you friend on the left coast!

xoxo

Dear Marie,Joe,Joey,John JR
Words cant describe how deeply sorry I am for your loss.I've known John all my life and he was so full of life and love.I will miss him dearly and I would just like to mention the person John was, I recently moved to New Mexico and last Easter i was a little homesick to say the least, I was talking to John about it and we were talking about family and what we were doing for the holiday.John mentioned to me how bad he felt for me because I wasnt going to see my family, my mother specifically. The next day John called me for directions to my moms house he had picked up easter lilys and was going to deliver them to my mother...My mother lives in New Hampshire...Please think about that he drove all the way to New Hampshire to bring my mother flowers on easter for me because I could not,I will never forget you John niether will my mom.I just wanted everyone to know how important family was to John and how huge his heart was.I will miss you buddy.

Dear Auntie Marie, Uncle Joe and cousin Joey,
I am so sorry for your loss of John. All I thought about when I heard of what had happened was his big smile and how Auntie Marie use to call him snap crackle pop because of the noise his toes made. My heart goes out to all of you. We will cherish the memories forever.

Dear Marie,Joe,Joey and John jr.

I am deeply sorry for your loss. I can't accept the idea that I will never be able to talk to my best friend again. He was the only person that I shared my deepest thoughts with knowing that he would never judge me, or make me feel worse than I already did. I want you to know that he talked to me in the same way and he told me on many occasions that his father was his best friend, and how much he loved his family. Please know that his biggest dream was to make his family and his son proud of him. You raised a great son and I am a better person for having the privilege of knowing him and having the honor of being called his friend. I will miss him every day. I Love you John, I will see you again but until then I will honor your memory by trying to do what we talked about on the day you died. Thank you Scali family for always having your door open to me and letting me see first hand how loving your household was and still is.

Mr & Mrs Scali and family,

I am so sorry to hear of John's passing. Every time I saw him he would show me pictures of John Jr. and talk about what a good boy he was and how much he loved being a dad. My brother Joey was with him for most of the day before he passed and said he could not stop talking about how much he loved his son and could not wait to see him that night. I will always remember his smiling face and his laugh. My thoughts and prayers are with all of you.
