Marshall Brickell was my good friend Gerry's dad when we were both in junior and senior high in Sharon. My dad brought our family down to FL in 1969 and we lost touch for many years.
Marshall Brickell had a couple surfboards up in the rafters, and was kind enough to take Gerry and I surfing several times. This would have a profound effect on the next 50 years of my life.
Please forgive my just seeing this obituary a dozen years after Marshall's passing. Your dad was a good man. I will have to reach out and see if I can find Gerry now, and catch up.

I just read Dr. Brickell's obituary online. I was his assistant from 1971-1977, and enjoyed working with such a nice and professional man. He was also instrumental in introducing me to my husband of almost 35 years.(vincent). we'll miss you. Jennifer (Moran)Mack

Dear Melanie,
My sincere condolences on the passing of your father. We (Sharon Police Dept) recently responded to a call that he had fallen at home. I was amazed how sharp he was in his 90's. He served his community and his country with great honor.

Dr. Brickell,
Sir, I would just like to say thank you for your service and sacrifice for our Country when you served with the USN during WW II as a member of the "Silent Service" and also as a Pearl Harbor veteran. You and your fellow servicemen were the first to stand up to to the Japanese in their sneak attack against our Country. And to your family and loved ones, I wish to extend my deepest sympathy.
