Ann Welsh Obituary

WELSH, Ann R. Age 78, of Worthington, Ohio passed away Monday September 15, 2008 at Kobacker House in Columbus. Born in Boston, Massachusetts to the late Walter and Eileen Oberlander, Ann was a graduate of the Girls Latin School and Emmanuel College, receiving her Bachelor Degree, Mathematics. She married Ruel Welsh in 1954. Together they raised their family and were 45-years residents of Montgomery, Ohio. They moved to Worthington in 2006. In addition to her parents, Ann is preceded in death by her brothers Wally and Larry Oberlander. She is survived by her husband of 54 years, Ruel H. Welsh; children: Elaine Welsh, of Columbus; Rick (Toni) Welsh, of Charlotte, NC; Sue (Bruce) Guindon, of Bellbrook, Ohio; Carol (Patrick) Harper, of Worthington; Pat (Jim) O'Conor, of Lexington, MA; John (Jean) Welsh, of Ashville, OH; and David(Jamie Winsor) Welsh, of Morgantown, WV; grandchildren: Michael, Melissa, Stephanie and Laura Welsh; Peter, Tim and Claire Guindon; Molly and Kyle Harper; Charlie, Luke and Zoe O'Conor; Andy, Sarah, Jake and Maggie Welsh; sisters: Eleanor Monahan, of Lexington, MA and Elaine (Charley) Davidson, of Boston; and many, many nieces, nephews and friends. Ann was a member of St. Peter Catholic Church, 6899 Smoky Row Road, Columbus, Ohio 43235 where Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated 11:00am. Thursday September 18, 2008 with The Reverend Justin Reis, Celebrant. Family will receive friends one hour before the Mass at the church. Burial at Resurrection Cemetery, Lewis Center, Ohio. In lieu of flowers, friends are asked to consider memorial contributions to: Ohio Health Foundation, Kobacker House, 3595 Olentangy River Rd., Columbus, Ohio 43214, in Ann's memory.
