Marjorie Walden Obituary

WALDEN, Marjorie Browning Of Needham, died on Wednesday Sept. 17, 2008 at the age of 103. Daughter of the late Clarence E. and Jennie (Browning) Walden. Dear sister of the late Carol and Donald Walden. Loving aunt of Barrie Walden of Falmouth, Susan Towne of Owls Head, ME and Jennifer Smith of Chatham. Marjorie is also survived by her three great nieces and 1 nephew and three great great nieces. Funeral services will be held at the Eaton Funeral Home 1351 Highland Ave NEEDHAM, on Sat., Sept. 27th at 1:30 PM. Visiting hours will be held on Sat from 12:30 to 1:30 prior to the service. Interment will take place at the Needham Cemetery. Received BA from Radcliff College Class of 1926 and BS from Simmons College in 1927. Worked for brokerage office in Boston and later was Executive Secretary for several mutual funds offices until her retirement in 1969. Member of the Needham Garden Club, Needham Historical Society and Friends of the Needham Public Library. Avid gardener of flowers and vegetables, enjoyed photography and loved to travel.
