I came upon this and was floored by
all that was said about my sister.
It is clear that so many people
loved and cared about Brooke.
Thank you so very much for your
kind words during this difficult
time.
Brooke inspired me so much in
so many ways. She fought so very
hard and I believe she is with our
loving God in the Heavens above.
Though I will miss you, Cookie, I
know you are safe in God's Loving
Hands.
I Love You Sis
Love, Kari

Mark, I heard of your loss last night at the regional meeting of MDI. A man there spoke of your great and positive influence on his life and the joy he had at your finding love with Brooke. You affected many men in that circle and now, through Brooke, you have affected others, such as myself, who do not know you. I pray God speed for Brooke and I pray God will find ways to comfort you.

I never forget about her when I first met her in 1996 (was NU alumni & deaf social @ White Horse) and intro her to my family as friends. In few yr later, I never saw her again. I realized it was too late for me but she stayed in my mind forever and hope to see her again in afterlife. My prayers & thoughts are with the families of Evjy & Donahue.

My condolences to Brooke's family, friends, and to everyone who shared life with her. Brooke's positive outlook on life touched everyone she came into contact with. I met Brooke through work at Charles River Arc where she enriched many people's lives. She will be missed dearly.

To Brooke's family and friends,
Please accept my sincerest condolences. I am a fellow sign language interpreter and had the utmost pleasure of working with Brooke via The Mentorship Program. Brooke was an amazing role model in her rigorous dedication to excellence in the field--she always greeted me with such warmth and I am, as is our field and our community, left in a far better place because of Brooke and her contributions to all of us.

Brooke Donahue was a beautiful woman and will always be very important to me. I knew her through one of her interpreting positions; she interpreted in my mainstream middle school for my three deaf friends. She has had a huge impact on my life, whether she knows it or not. She was the woman who inspired me to become a teacher for the deaf, the one who passed on the dreams and hopes to me. I will become a teacher for the deaf when I am older, in Brooke's honor. She was, and continues to be, one of the most inspiring women I have ever met. My heart goes out to her wonderful family, and know what a difference she has made in my life.

Brooke is my dear friend and one of my closest colleagues. Me first met in 1996 at NU, while we were studying to become interpreters. Brooke was very popular, and fortunate for me, she took me under her wing. All of these years later I credit Brooke for helping me to jump start me career.

I was proud to know Brooke and Marc through St. Paul's, Newton Highlands. She displayed a formidable grace and moxie through her involvement with the Pan Mass Challenge fundraiser for the Jimmy Fund. My thoughts are also with Marc, you've lost a great stoker, may the Lord bless and keep you.
