Elizabeth Howe Obituary

HOWE, Elizabeth M. (MacKenzie) Howe, 86, a resident of Lowell for the past 48 years, died on Wednesday, September 24, 2008. She was the beloved wife of Frederick W. Howe who survives her and resides in Lowell and with whom she celebrated their 64th Wedding Anniversary on Sept. 3. She was born on September 17, 1922 in Cambridge, a daughter of the late Duncan and Carrie (Cambell) MacKenzie.She was a member of the First Church of the Nazarene, Lowell. In addition to her loving husband she is survived by three children, Janet E. Holst and her husband Carl of Franklin, Kathryn L. Westberry and her husband Joe of Lowell and Bonnie E. Akerley and her husband Kenneth of Lowell. She was the grandmother of seven, Kira O'Shaughnessy and her husband Christopher of Bentonville, AK, Laurie Glennon and her husband Christopher of Bellingham, Richard Westberry of Pepperell, Frederick Westberry of Lowell, Charles Westberry of Chelmsford, Elizabeth Akerley of Lowell and Katherine Akerley of Lowell. She also leaves 8 great-grandchildren. Visiting hours will be held on Sunday afternoon from 3 to 6pm at the Blake Funeral Home, 24 Worthen St., CHELMSFORD. A Funeral Service will be held on Monday afternoon at 1:30pm at the First Church of the Nazarene, 1195 Varnum Ave., Lowell. Interment in St. Mary's Cemetery, Tewksbury.
