Kathleen Sheedy Obituary

SHEEDY, Kathleen Edith (Quinn) Of Tewksbury, age 77, beloved wife of Matthew J. Sheedy for 54 yrs., died Thursday, Sept. 25,2008 at the Fairhaven Nursing Homein Lowell after a long battle with Alzheimer's Disease. She was raised in Wakefield, the daughter of the late John and Josephine (McIntosh) Quinn and moved to Tewksbury in 1956. Kathy was a vibrant, fun-loving wife and mother who loved to sing and dance. Her infectious sense of humor will be missed by all who knew her. Besides her husband she is survived by a son, Paul M. Sheedy of Carlisle; three daughters, Kathleen S. Furey of Methuen; Carol Cahill and her husband John of New Gloucester, Maine; and Ann Marie of Tewksbury; a brother, John and his wife Lorraine of Wilmington; four sisters, Mary Burke of Billerica; Helen Fuller of Danvers; Dorothy (Dot) Morris and her husband James of Reading; and Brenda Cleary of Wakefield. She also had five grandchildren, Tammy(Sheehan) McGann of Lowell; Dawn Sheehan of Tewksbury; Sean Furey of San Diego,CA; Ryan Furey of Methuen; and Jake Cahill of Tewksbury. She had one great-grandchild, Jack McGann of Lowell and several nieces and nephews. She was pre-deceased by a brother, Richard W. Quinn of Charlestown. Arrangements: A funeral service will be celebrated on Wednesday Oct. 1, 2008 at 10am at the funeral home in Tewksbury. Burial will follow in the Tewksbury Cemetery. Family and friends may call on Tuesday Sept. 30, 2008 from 4 to 7 pm at the Tewksbury Funeral Home, 1 Dewey St. located on the corner of Rte 38/Main St. and Dewey St. (978) 851-2950
