Mr Galeota was one of my 5th grade teachers at the Henry L. Higgison in 1959. I met him again as a retired educator myself in 2004.I knew it was him because of his size 15 shoes! We all loved him as students. It seems like yesterday. It was wonderful to have had him as part of my history. My sympathy to the family. With my Mom and Dad gone as well what a great generation and legacy! They don't make them like that anymore.

Memories
Since there aren't too many years between us, uncle Ralph and I grew up very close. I remember how he would scare me at the old Soap Factory by scaring me like being a ghost, climbing rocks at Scotchy's Field, Going to the movies, one in particular when a person died and was reincarnated into a dog and would order Kibbles every time he would go out to dinner, when he was inducted into the Army and Ma told me they didn't have shoes large enough for him and one time when he and his brothers and I (both he and I rather young) were sprucing up an apartment on Greenly Place and I called called him Ralph and he
promply and sternly told me he was UNCLE RALPH to me. More importantly when he retired from teaching he never retired from loving his church, being a wonderful husband to Aunt Marie and loving father to Kathy and Victor.
I will miss you, your nephew

Mr. Galeota was a long-time volunteer at the South Norfolk County Arc dances, and a great supporter of SNCARC. We will miss him very much. He showed deep love and devotion to his son, Victor, and always did whatever he could to make him happy. It was an honor to know him.

Uncle Ralph was more like a big brother than an uncle to me. He was the one who would play with us, take us on trips, listen to anything I needed to talk with him about. It would take pages to tell you the wonderful story of this man and the impact he made on my life. But to put it simply, he was a kind and giving man.

Toward's the end of my own mother's life, he was able to comfort her when her alzheimer's disease was taking her mind. Day or night, he was there for her.

I know she welcomed him to heaven yesterday.

Thank you Uncle Ralph, for all the love you gave to me.
