Aarre Sinisalo Obituary

SINISALO, Aarre O. 88, of Framingham Centre, died on Thursday, September 25, 2008. He was the husband of Marleah (Patterson) Sinisalo for 50 years. Born in Maynard, he was the son of the late Andrew and Mary (Vaatanen) Sinisalo. He was predeceased by a sister, Irja. He lived most of his life in Framingham and was a graduate of Framingham High School Class, of 1937 During his younger years, Mr. Sinisalo was employed by Dennison Manufacturing of Framingham, and Bay State Abrasives of Westborough. He served with the 10th Mountain Division in Italy during World War II. Following his military service, he attended school at Harvard, where he studied geology and was a member of the Class of 1950. Mr. Sinisalo was employed by several companies, including the U.S. Geological Survey, Cal-Tex, and MITRE. This employment included a period of years working in Libya and Indonesia. He retired from Stone & Webster in 1983. Besides his wife, he is survived by a son, Eric, and a daughter, Lisa, both of Framingham. In lieu of flowers, donations in his memory can be made to the Framingham Heart Study, of which he was an original member. Private services will be held by the family at a later date. Arr-angements are under the care of the Norton Funeral Home FRAMINGHAM
