William Chase Obituary

CHASE, William J. "Joe" 62, of Windham, NH, formerly of Woburn, died on Saturday, September, 27, 2008 at Northeast Rehabilitation Hospital in Salem, NH. Joe was born in Somerville on December 3, 1945, to Frederick and Carmella (Tordiglione) Chase. He graduated from Somerville High School. Mr. Chase was retired from C/F Motor Freight in Woburn, MA, where he was employed for thirty two years as an office clerk. He was a proud Teamster member of Local 25 for thirty two years. Joe was a major part of the Teamsters fund raising for Autism. He received an accommodation for his efforts. Joe was a loving husband, father and a devoted grandfather. He will be greatly missed. Mr. Chase is survived by his wife Nancy (Gillis) Chase of Windham, NH, two daughters, Julie L. Shaughnessy of Derry, NH., Karen O'Brien and her husband John of Woburn, MA, his mother Carmella Chase of Charlestown, MA, sister Cheryl Cullity and her husband Lawrence of Medford, MA, grandchildren Shane, Jacklyn, Olivia and Emily, several nieces and nephewsFamily and friends may call on Tuesday, September 30, 2008 from 4:00 to 8:00 p.m. at the Cataudella Funeral Home 126 Pleasant Valley St., METHUEN, MA 01844. Services will begin on Wednesday October 1, 2008, from the funeral home at 8:30 a.m. followed by a funeral mass at 10:00 a.m. in St. Matthew's Church, 2 Searles Road, Windham, NH 03087. It's so hard to believe that Joey is gone. Family get togethers just won't be the same without him. I'll really miss him, but will find comfort in knowing he's with Uncle Yimma and Vinny watching the Pats on Sundays.
