VANBUSKIRK, Gordon A. Sr. "Gordy" Of Winthrop, on September 28. Beloved husband of the late Hazel Swan. Devoted father of Sharon Camelia of North Reading, Elaine and her husband James Richard of East Bridgewater, Arthur and his wife Beverly of Lynn, David B. Vanbuskirk of North Andover and the late Gordon A. "Dutchie" Vanbuskirk Jr. Loving brother of Jack Vanbuskirk and his wife Leona of Winthrop and Florida and the late Edna Ricket, Albert C. Vanbuskirk Sr, Doris Cordes and Lillian Heighton. Dear grandfather of 5 grandchildren, 7 great grandchildren and 1 great great grandchild. Late WWII Veteran US Navy and life member of the Winthrop Lodge of Elks. Services will be conducted at the Joseph R. Frazier Funeral Home, 174 Winthrop St, WINTHROP on Thursday October 2 at 11am. A Memorial Visitation will be held on Wednesday evening from 6-8pm. The family has requested that expressions of sympathy in his memory be donated to the American Cancer Society, 30 Speen St, Framingham, MA 01701. Interment at the Winthrop Cemetery.

Rest in peace Gordy. I know I never met you but enjoyed talking to you about the old days when my dad Bud Lambert would be over your house. Since my dad your cousin is past I shall offer my condolences to your family as his son.

I love and miss you very much, Papa. I'll always remember how you'd make that eagle tattoo "fly" for me while we sat on the edge of your bed with that little tv turned up so loud the whole neighborhood could hear it. You'll forever be in my heart and in my memories. You fought a good fight and you finally get to go home. I love you.
