KING, Doris R. Of Allston September 23, 2008. Beloved daughter of Rev. Luvenia McLean of Dorchester and the late William King, Jr. Dear sister of Rev. Barbara Abdur Raheem of Dorchester and William King of Springfield. Niece of James Collier of AL, Otelia Collier of Boston and Reginald Collier of Alexandria, VA. She leaves a host of other relatives and friends. Funeral service Sunday at 7 PM at The Historic Charles Street AME Church, 551 Warren St., Roxbury. Visiting with the family at church at 6 PM. Burial Monday at 11 AM at Massachusetts Veteran's Memorial Cemetery, 1390 Main St., Agawam. Arrangements Davis Funeral Home of Roxbury and Mattapan. My sympathies to the family. Doris was always such a bright light at U.Mass-Boston, and particularly in the Veterans Upward Bound program. We will miss her always.

Doris & I met @ the WHC @ the JP VA Hospital. We have been friends since then. She always brought some humour to the day and my life has been richer for having known her.She will be greatly missed.
