MICHAELS, Harold L. Of Jamaica Plain, Oct. 1, 2008 beloved husband of Mary T. (Glynn) with whom they shared 61 years of marriage. Loving father of Eileen T. Michaels of Watertown, Mary U. Segreve of Foxboro & Theresa Michaels- Ward of Milford, NH & the late John Michaels. Dear grandfather of Sean G.Segreve & Kristin Mccarthy. Brother of the late Arthur Jack & Bob Michacls & Ruth Garabedian. Also survived by many nieces & nephews. Funeral front the William S. Gormley Funeral Home, 2055 Centre St., West Roxbury on Monday Oct. 6, 2008 at 9am followed by a Funeral Mass in St. Thomas Aquinas Church at 10 o'clock. Visiting hours Sunday 4-8 pm. Relatives and friends invited. Interment Mt.Benedict Cemetery. Mr. Michaels,
Sir, I would just like to say thank you for your service and sacrifice for our Country when you served with the U.S. Naval Construction Battalions during WW II. And to your family and loved ones, I wish to extend my deepest sympathy. The Seabees were some of the unsung heroes of the War-they built airfields, advanced bases and naval anchorages and if they had to, were always ready to put down their tools and pick up their weapons and fight.
