15 years goes by so fast.
We still miss them but it is the happy memories that bring comfort. He loved his family the best he knew how.

To the family of Jim Carr, Jr - I had the real pleasure of knowing Jim as a Brother Knight in the K of C Walpole Council #1319 as we joined at the same time. I always found him a real interesting man to listen & talk to and was very fond of him. He always gave freely of his time to our Council and I, along with all our Brother Knights, shall miss him very much.

Mr. Carr,
Sir, I would just like to say thank you for your years of dedicated service and sacrifice for our Country when you served in the USAF-especially during the Korean and Vietnam Wars. And to your family and loved ones, I wish to extend my deepest sympathy.

I'm thinking of you today, Jim. Losing a parent is a poignant and painful time as we reflect where we are in our own lives. There are always the would-ve, should-ve's that help us to be better parents ourselves. It helps to stay connected to the Great Parent above. He will bring comfort and guidance. May God bless you and keep you, Jim.

Im so sad to hear that your father has passed away. He always brought a smile to my face when I got a chance to talk to him. I hope you find some peace in the coming months.

I knew Jim from when I started working for Jimmy in his landscaping business. He seemed a kermudgerly sort of fellow, but that was only on the outside. It has been about 28 years since that time and I have been working for Jimmy off and on since then. Every year Jim Sr. would help with the snow plowing, something he loved doing.
I hadn't heard about Jimmy's mother Olive's death until after the funeral. I went to Clapp St. that evening just as Jim, Debra and her children were going out to get some dinner. Jim sr. didn't want to go so I stayed and talked with him for the next 2 and a half hours. Well, I didn't really talk, just listened to Jim tell me all about Olive, her illness and how much he loved her. The kermudgenly shell was not there, just the real man inside. The one who loved his wife and family. That's the Jim I will remember (and some stories about objects altered by his snow plow). The veteran who was proud to be an American and proud of his children. Sleep in peace, my friend.
