Shirley M. Mahoney

MAHONEY, Shirley M. 82, formerly of Arlington, MA, died Mon., Oct. 6, 2008 in Saco, ME. She was born, August 26, 1926 in Somerville, MA, daughter of Harry A. and Hilda M. (Cooper) Ryan. Her husband of 42 yrs. John J. Mahoney Sr. died in 1993. She leaves two sons, John J. Mahoney Jr. of Taunton, MA and Patrick Mahoney of York, ME; three daughters, Beverly Winkler of Wasilla, Alaska, Shirley Borges of Bowdoinham, ME and Mary Hallene of Wells, ME; two sisters, Dorothy Coughlin of Woburn, MA and Beverly Doucette of Clearwater, FL; 13 grandchildren, 6 great-grandchildren and 1 great-great-grandchild. A daughter, Nancy Hicks, two brothers, Harry Ryan and Norman "Sonny" Ryan and a sister, Jeanette Brown predeceased her. Calling hours for Mrs. Mahoney will be held from 4 to 8 pm on Wed., Oct. 8th in the Lucas & Eaton Funeral Home, 91 Long Sands Rd., YORK, Maine.
