I´ll always remember jack. We had great times camping in lake placid NY. We even got a ride on an Olympic bob sled the year before the Olympics were being held in lake placid. Jack was very clever, he reversed the shifting arm on his 1949 Ford where it was on the left side of the steering wheel. To put it in first gear you had to lift the arm up and forward. Who would of thought of doing that. Can´t believe it´s been 13 year since he´s gone.
I wish the best to all his family

Jack,

I was a young boy growing up in Honolulu. You were our Neighbor. You were a very big influence in my life and you were always a "class act." I was very sad to hear of your passing and remember your smile and your receptive attitude. You never had a negative thing to say about us neighborhood kids. David and Jen are my friends and I know that they miss you dearly...as do I. I remember when I went to the military and you came to visit several times. We did get to spend some time and you made being away from home so much easier. Thank you for all that you have done for my Family and me and thank you for being a very important part of my life. God Bless You and may you rest in peace. We will meet again...!

Jack was a good friend. We shared many happy times hanging out at the gas station, camping and skiing.
I was shocked to hear of his death and will miss him greatly. To his wife, children and sister I'd like to say how sorry I am that you (and I) will no longer have jack with us, but we will always have the memories.

My condolences go out to the Carruthers family. John was a good
man and not a bad word could ever be spoken of him. God bless him and
may he rest in peace.
